Nature, tradition and hospitality
Sikkilsdalseter Fjellstue is a charming mountain lodge located in the beautiful Sikkilsdalen valley 1016 meters above sea level. The lodge consists of 16 rooms, a cozy fireplace lounge, dining room and sanitary facilities with a drying room. We also have 6 rental cabins with traditional wood burning, with 2-4 beds. One cabin can be rented out as a self-catering cabin. The cabin is also available on inatur.no.
The summer session is now over, so we are closed. The new session will be open from the last weekends in February, March and all of Easter. We have not plowed the road in the winter, so tracked vehicles must be used for the last 12 kilometers from the car park at Åkremoen. We will come back with more information soon when we have opening date.
Here you will find us
We are located in Sikkilsdalen, a side valley of Gudbrandsdalen towards Jotunheimen.
To find us, you can drive FV 255 from Lillehammer via Gausdal and Skåbu or you can drive Gudbrandsdalen to Vinstra via Skåbu and on from there.
In the summer you can drive Jotunheimvegen from Bygdin and Flekkmovegen from Randsverk and Murudalen.

About Sikkilsdalen
Sikkilsdalen is a U-valley in the west of Nord Fron municipality in the Inland region. The valley borders to the eastern parts of Jotunheimen. In the valley you will find two lakes, upper and lower Sikkilsdalsvann, as well as the river Sikkilsdalsåa. If you move up and north you will reach Skåltjern an hour's walk from the mountain lodge. The lakes and river offer very nice trout. You can find more information about fishing under attractions. The valley offers a lush mountain flora and rich mountain pasture. Livestock has grazed here for a man's age, and horses have come from far and near to the valley for summer grazing. The annual horse show is an attraction worth seeing, this takes place at St. Hans times every year.
