Our tracked vehicles

During the winter, the last 12 km to the mountain lodge are not plowed, so transport is by tracked vehicle. You park your car at Åkremoen, from there the tracked vehicles take you and your luggage inland. The trip takes 30 minutes.

In the past, horses and sleighs were used to get to the mountain lodge, but in 1947 the first tracked vehicle arrived, a Weasel M29 Studebaker. Later, snowmobiles, snow traces and band wagons took over.
